We are working on the "Doubles" and "Near Doubles" strategies this week.

The children use the double fact to help them quickly recall the near double from memory.  If I know 4+4=8, 4+5 is just one more and must be 9.

We are working toward a 3 second recall of facts from memory.  Practicing at home will assist with mastery of facts.  We will work on a new strategy each week.
